RESCUE, REHABILITATION, RELEASE

When a sea turtle is found stranded or injured, SCDNR brings the animal to the Sea Turtle Care Center for treatment. In the Zucker Family Sea Turtle Recovery Center, you learn how veterinarians diagnose each turtle and work with Care Center staff and volunteers to provide treatments and rehabilitative care. 

An augmented reality triage station provides you the opportunity to diagnose a new patient.  Testimonials from the SCA staff offer details of the phases a new patient goes through while an interactive patient board provides details of recent and recovering sea turtles.  The object theater offers an insight to the fight for life the sea turtle faces and ways you can be involved to ensure their survival.
