The Power of Nature and the Nature of Energy
The Jones Beach Energy and Nature Center provides an in-depth look into the close relationship between man, nature, energy, and environment. The environmentally conscious building design is home to exhibits featuring details about the history of energy in the region with future plans for a smart grid and renewable energy to ecosystems, climate change, along with the human impact on the environment. Guests learn about details on beach erosion, animal habitats, and how human has impacted the environment. Other areas of focus include looking behind the scenes of how we generate, use and distribute power as well as the future role of a smart grid for better use of resources and preserving our environments.
