Technology, Innovation, Creativity

Libraries are centers for learning, which is the core for why the Orange County Library System created the Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology for its users to gain a better understanding of emerging technologies. The 26,000 sq ft was conceptualized in partnership with FX Group and the Orlando Public Library.

The Center expands the role of the library offering access to new technology by way of an immersive 3D simulator lab, studios for video and audio production, a photography studio, a fabrication lab with 3D Printers are available for small prototype creation, as well as a state-of-the-art presentation and conference space.

Classes and collaborative areas stimulate interest in the STEAM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics).
